John, Good job. One more. Just what is a super storm? Why is it super? They are no bigger than the past. Just more people in the way.

And, if it becomes a white dwarf, it will be all Johns fault, because he talked people out of following the advice of Algore!

Oh, the power of the written word!

Correct, Peter. Our sun will engulf the solar system when it becomes a red giant. it won't go nova after that, as some stars do, but we won't be around to care.

I'm not 100% sure BUT I think our sun is not the type to go 'nova', but it will eventually die and expand outward by burning off most of itself thereby losing enough mass to contain itself and the growing ball of gas will finally engulf our solar system. I'm pretty sure that that's what will happen rather than a nova. Either way the earth is toast in a few billion years.

Very good point, Joe.

Every generation has their "super" storms. For example, the 1929 hurricane that devastated the Northeast, hurricane Camille, etc.

All of the evidence points to the fact that the climate oscillates in cycles and has done so since long before man walked this Earth. And it will continue to oscillate, no matter what we do, until the sun finally goes nova and obliterates this spinning rock.

Dear Comrade Mikey,

That’s right; there is no connection between a storm and so-called global warming. Scientists theorize that storms could be become worse and more extreme, but there is very little evidence- very little is not to be confused with no evidence- that storms are any...
