I love my country and I believe our military actions in Afghanistan are justifiable.
However, I have always considered it my patriotic duty to speak out against the War in Iraq and what seems to me to be the exploitation of brave American soldiers.
I believe the following to be true:
Iraq had no connection to 9/11 (though some of our "allies" e.g., Saudi Arabia, did).
There were no Al Qaeda in Iraq when we invaded (though they have taken advantage of the chaos to establish a presence there now).
No WMD.
There are many tyrants in the world worse than Hussein, some of whom we support/have supported. We supported Hussein in the past when it was in our interests. Almost the whole world, including most Arabs...

You're concerned about women oppressed by fanatical Muslim sexists, but you care less about the hundreds of thousands who died in your War in Iraq so we could get at their oil (discounting false pretexts). We should try to deal with sexist aggression peacefully, at least at first.

I suppose Mrs. Palin is a devout Christian in some ways, but in my opinion, she supports unnecessary warfare, which is very UNChristian.
