Judicial activism can create any "constitutional principle."

Conservatives may complain about George W's profligate spending, and his expansion of the bureaucracy, but his two Supreme Court picks are both honest judges. They allow themselves to be bound by the actual constitution.

Great Column, Dr. S.

You're right about the press cherry picking data to support their political agenda.

That's why it is so important to be able to get news from both honestly conservative and honestly liberal sources. The media outlets that claim to be "objective" are just liberal propagandists who won't be honest about it.

Liberals always prefer government control over freedom. That's why they side with mainland China over Taiwan, the PLO over Israel, etc.

How 'bout we all agree to join the Tea Party Party, but not to run any Tea Party candidates?

Let the Republican Party have all the politicians and the candidates, and the Tea Party Party have all the voters.

There has always been a natural conflict bewteen Republican voters and Republican officials and candidates; so let's go ahead and admit that the two groups have different agendas.

When I was a rowdy boy in elementary school in the 1970's my teachers often had to resort to a "hack," or swat on the backside with a paddle, to bring my behavior back in line. Didn't kill me, and the affected body part doesn't seem to have suffered any long term damage. I can still sit in chairs and everything.

The good news is that the discipline my teachers were trying to instill did eventually take hold. I am now an adult who can work with others without being anti-social.

If I were a rowdy elementary school student today they would control my behavior by pumping me full of drugs.

I'm glad I went to school back in the Dark Ages, when teachers used such cruel and barbaric methods to keep boys under control.
Zhanna and Anderson,

You're right, of course, about Lenin being born on 4/22/1870. But it's good to document things.

Illegal aliens from Mexico, specifically, are not "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United states. When a Mexican commits a capital murder on American soil and flees back home to Mexico, the Mexican government refused to extradite their citizen back to the US for trial: http://www.vdare.com/guzzardi/extradition.htm

Clearly a Mexican on American soil is not "subject to the jurisdiction thereof."

I like Senator Demint's comment about how the Republican party has "betrayed it's conservative principles."

He's campaigning for real conservatives in four Republican primaries: https://senateconservatives.com/support

I for one am going to send a check.

It will be ironic if the Dems' promise to cut money from Medicare costs them the support of seniors. They never had any intention of actually cutting Medicare; it was just a phoney baloney way of making the price tag for Obamacare look lower.

Still, I hope the seniors rise up against them en mass.
