I believe that it is more in line with President Obama and leftist ideology that government can allocate the wealth of the nation more 'fairly' and more 'effectively' than the individual. Private ownership gets in the way. So it makes sense to tax the heck out of industry and the individual. Shift all ownership to the government and we will all be better off. Not exactly an American concept. However, this is much of the "Fundamental CHANGE" that President Obama promised.

Obama could never do both (a) swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States; and (b) promise to "fundamentally change America". It's one, or the other.

The US Constitution is "a listing of the fundamentals"--it is the bedrock upon which our entire nation rests. Therefore, you can't "fundamentally change America" without fundamentally changing the Constitution.

By now it's clear that Obama wasn't sincere with regards to (a), while he absolutely was with (b).

But Obama hasn't even tried to change the Constitution through accepted means--he knows any attempt to do so would take years and likely be doomed to failure. Instead, he tramples & ignores the Constitution.

And we are ALL the worse for it.

Watch what he does, not what he says.

Even if it were acceptable, here, it does not work.
Only America has allowed for such socio-economic mobility among people.
From immigrant poverty to comfort for the grand-kids is unknown in most other Countries. Why? None of it form what Obama espouses.
His theories have worked out in other Countries, and we have the History, now.
In fact, we have Detroit, here.
