"(We) ... believe that Muslims can better practice Islam in a free environment that protects the rights of all individuals to practice or reject faith as they choose." This goes against the Islamic law that the penalty for leaving Islam is death. I am certain that Jasser and AIFD go against Islamic laws in numerous other places as well. This is why it is so difficult for Muslims to be moderate. The legal system itself is NOT moderate. A religion that controls and defends 'lands' and 'waters'. A religion that is fielding an army. A religion that taxes and specifies when conscription is to be void. A religion that puts people to death. Not exactly a moderate 'religion'. (Or modern religion)

If CAIR's Attacking You, You Must be Good

"Where are all the moderate Muslims?" It's a question often posed by Americans who watch with disgust as the Council on American-Islamic Relations and other apologists for radical Islam hog all of the attention. CAIR, which was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror financing Holy Land Foundation case, and which regularly denounces any effort to combat radical Islam as anti-Muslim prejudice, is routinely described in the press as a Muslim "civil rights" group.

Moderate American Muslims exist though. And it's not that hard to find them. Just see who CAIR and the Muslim Public Affairs Council are denouncing.
