I think that much of the problem is that we Americans don't want to hear it. We want what we want and we want it now. We are just not listening. We all see what we want to see. It takes work to go past this and so many of us are not willing to work at it anymore. It is more comfortable when things fit into the way that you see them. I think that Kday is somewhat correct: Nuclear weapons are only a matter of time.

It seems every time the Republicans lose a presidential election, white board-toting architects and backroom strategists descend on the Sunday talk shows. Republicans must dump the social issues.
