Christian parents only want their kids to continue to have the right to emotionally, physically, and spiritually abuse gay children. Why would anybody have a problem with THAT?

By the way ... in 20 years of teaching the only group of parents/students openly hostile to the "gay agenda' that I have dealt with is made up of muslims.

Agent, I think here we may run into an area of confluence -- I think it's very important for muslim youth in America to hear a message of tolerance at school that they are perhaps not getting at home.

Well ... here again we run into the issue of who defines what is tolerable and what is not. As a teacher I don't want that responsibility in the schools. (I'm only half joking when I say that schools are run by some pretty dim bulbs.)

That's utter nonsense. How can you be so openly intolerant in the justification of "tolerance?" Beam in the eye anyone?

Nobody has a right to "bully" anyone. Period. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. All I can speak to is my own experience. Openly gay students are not bullied any more (or I suspect less) than any other students in any of the schools I have been in.

Agent, I certainly appreciate your anecdotal perspective. But you realize that it does not represent the complete picture of bullying, correct?

It's worth looking at legit studies of bullying to consider whether or not bullying of homosexuals is a problem worth addressing specifically.

It is worth looking at and I will.

On April 20th, in thousands of schools across America, your hard-earned tax dollars will help underwrite the homosexual indoctrination of your kids. Yes, April 20th will mark the annual Day of Silence, described on its website as “a student-led national event that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools.” As for those who do not support a special school day devoted to gay indoctrination, they are the ones who can expect to be silenced.

Originally the brainchild of some college students in 1996, the Day of Silence has been aggressively promoted for the last 12 years by GLSEN,...
