Plaxico Burress isn't allowed to own a gun since he (in an idiot move because he didn't know his FL CCW wasn't valid in the People's Republic of New York) was sent to prison for carrying an unlicensed weapon in New York. The fact that noone knew he was carrying a weapon until he shot himself in the leg with it outside a nightclub shows that he wasn't as well trained in firearms safety as he should've been. As a convicted felon, Burress isn't allowed to own a firearm. I wouldn't even be surprised if he was forced to do anti gun commercials as a part of his parole.

You mention him being outside a nightclub. As a CCW permit holder and a responsible citizen, I know that alcohol and firearms don't mix. Even in Colorado CCW holders are forbidden to carry in bars or while consuming alcohol But I suppose this Burgess clown considers himself to be "more equal" than the rest of us..

Florida does not allow permit holders to carry in bars or areas of any restaurant dedicated to serving alcohol.
So,he didn't even pay attention during his CWP class.
He probably had somebody else take it for him.

It is, perhaps, the ultimate “do as I say, not as I do” scenario: progressive entertainment stars and politicians telling us that we shouldn’t possess firearms.

So now would be a good time for American progressives to rise up and do for their icons, as their icons seek to do for us: it’s time for an entire movement of celebrity gun buy-back events.

Gun buy-back events, if you’re not familiar, have been proliferating nationwide over the past decade or so. They usually involve a local law enforcement agency setting-up a designated time and location where individuals can hand-over...
