The High Road Led Straight to Defeat for Romney

I'd rather talk about Obama. 1. He got into Columbia and Harvard Law school applying as a foreign exchange student. No stringent grade requirements for that and his grades were self-admittedly inferior. 2. He passed the Illinois Bar but voluntary surrendered his law license when an investigation was begun into false statements on his bar application. 3. His two prior elective offices were stolen by bringing lawsuits to have divorce records unsealed, resulting in his winning the offices by default, not the will of the voters. 4. Aside from voting "present" in a state and federal senate seat position, the only other work experience he had was as a "community organizer" (i.e. race-baiting demonstration organizer. So much for your hero Obama.

If Election Day is about picking winners, the morning after is for post-mortems. That's when we slice open the losing campaigns, set aside the hundreds of millions of dollars that gush out, and pick apart the cause of death.

Why did the Romney campaign fail? Maybe the country is now GOP-proof. That is, maybe a Constitution-guided, free-market, limited-government candidate no longer can "appeal" to the majority of the electorate. It could be that the death knell rang early this year once 67.3 million of us, or one in five Americans, had come to depend on federal assistance, formerly known as "the dole."
