These academics are supposed to be highly intelligent and well educated. Therefore, we can assume they are capable of learning that now the bias has shifted away from homosexuals to fundamentalists, and that there is now a new threat to justice upon which they may exercise their love of righting wrongs. But either they are NOT highly intelligent and capable of learning, or they have no real love of righting wrongs, unless the group suffering the injustice happens to conform to their own values. In the second case, we can label them simply as HYPOCRITES. Ironic, isn't it? That's what people usually say about Christians. :)
