When are people from both sides of the extremes going to realize that they are both wrong on mostly everything? Extremes are what turn so many people off. There is a reason why it is affecting the Republicans so much (and this is not an attack, but a reality of what is happening to their party). You are all willing to throw around labels here so quickly and not even know what the meanings of them are. That is the sad state of America today. I have seen blogs that say 70% of Americans are Conservative. Typically they only poll a 1000 or so people, usually with a plus or minus margin of anywhere from 3% to 5%.
