Pre-1970, far more rural kids then than urban ones today had access to/were taught to use rifles and shotguns and you just didn't hear of countryside mass slaughters or shootings. What makes them and urban kids so different in responsibility?

I'm one of those. Also lets get real here. I have talked extensively with my parents and older relatives about their lives. I have a minor in history so I'm interested in this. the 1970's is when people could walk the streets of their cities without fear. Their children, played outside all over the neighborhood.

Since the implementation of the Great Society programs during LBJ's reign, we have been getting more and more inner cities loaded with the poor living on government assistance. If you check out the FBI website you will find that the majority of gun crimes happen within those areas. You might say the that Democrats created an environment where guns, drugs and violence are a way of life.

Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock, the same writer Bob Costas based his ridiculous anti-gun halftime report on over the weekend, told CNN's Roland Martin yesterday that the NRA is the new KKK.
