You do realize that America has somehow survived worse? A Civil War, two World Wars, the Long Depression that lasted from 1873-1896. Besides, this is why you have a vetting process in the first place ... to guarantee that no October surprises derail a seemingly secure victory. If winning this election is important to Romney, then releasing the same amount of records as his opponents is part of the deal.
