So which culture do these people fall under? As Military Suicides Rise, Focus Is on Private Weapons By JAMES DAO Published: October 7, 2012 With nearly half of all suicides in the military having been committed with privately owned firearms, the Pentagon and Congress are moving to establish policies intended to separate at-risk service members from their personal weapons. The issue is a thorny one for the Pentagon. Gun rights advocates and many service members fiercely oppose any policies that could be construed as limiting the private ownership of firearms.

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and
law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own
conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the
law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the
lawless will allow...
For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to

This is so very sad to read this. PTSD is to blame for this not guns. I know this sounds cold but taking away everyones guns becasue some of our service military personel are suffering with PTSD is just crazy.

Suiside is a terrible after effect of war.

He just took up the usual Islamic hatred for infidels.
Try him in a military court, and execute him.
It should have been completed LONG ago,Comrade Hussein is just delaying and delaying.

Yup, keeping guns out of the hands of soldiers is a great idea. It worked especially well in Ft. Hood. The whole notion that 300 million people should have restrictions placed on them "if it will save ONE life" is pure stupidity. Stuff happens, people die, that's life. Me, I'll keep my freedoms. Life without them, no matter how much of a nany state I live in, is just not worth living.

Since NBC sportscaster Bob Costas went on his halftime anti-gun rant on Sunday using words written by Fox Sports Columnist Jason Whitlock, we’ve heard a lot from the media and from uniformed commentators about America’s “gun culture.” The fact is, America actually has two gun cultures and it is important to distinguish them from one another.

The first gun culture is deeply seated in American history and her founding. Founding Fathers like George Washington understood that an armed citizenry would prevent government tyranny, which is why we have the Second Amendment. This is a concept rapper...
