Too bad there aren't enough UVA students to put Obama over the top. This rally is pretty lame IMO. He's STILL going after dumb college kids/under grads for votes? I smell desperation. I wonder how many of these UVA undergrads are talking to their older cohorts without jobs- even with a degree from UVA- since '08.

and remember UVA has a big medical college -- all that money to become a doctor and when you get out you can be an indentured servant to the state

Regarding how enthusiastic college students are for Obama anymore, look at Stan306's 4:50pm post (now on Page 2).

I totally agree with you, Obama's going after dumb college kids/under grads for votes DOES smell like, in fact, positively REEKS of, desperation.

In fact, I read that Obama was EXPECTING a crowd of 12,000 today - and the estimate of the crowd he GOT was 7,500.

And I strongly suspect you're right, that a lot of undergrads these days ARE seeing older siblings/cohorts who are college graduates since 2008 who are either jobless altogether or underemployed. Hopefully those older siblings/cohorts have told them, "See ME? This will be YOU in a few years if you vote for Obama this year!"
