Government spending on public employees seems to me to be a bigger problem than the "Entitlement" spending. After all public employees currently workingare paid by taxpayers - and SS payments they make and their retirees and medical and pensions- also come from OTHER tax payers. On a cash flow basis we would be far better off paying them less and eliminate the income taxes they pay as as an inefficient recycling of OTHER taxpayers money using the difference to to fund their benefits at a sustainable level . By sustainable I mean not dependant on additional tax money thereafter rather the " Fund" should be required to meet all of the regulations imposed on private benefits. Same for Congressional salaries and benefits.
