Anybody who has been paying attention understands that this is a critical time in the history of our country. Serious issues need to be addressed. The fact that Obama can seriously consider taking another vacation at this time is not surprising. His administration is being run by the "powers behind the throne" and he only has to show up now and then, wax eloquent, (ghost-written notes and teleprompter at the ready), and sign things.
Hopefully, the absurdity of this event will be a powerful teaching moment for the other students.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse (money) from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years." Alexis de Tocqueville
My thoughts, also. So, what to do? Pray for wisdom during these trying times. Do our homework and get the truth out as best we can. "This is the verdict; Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil....but, whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3:19-21, (part).
I agree. Your comments have energized me into getting more involved this time. We certainly can't complain about the outcome unless we've done all we can beforehand.
You're probably right. As a Christian who reads the Bible, I know that one day we will have a one-world government, one-world monetary system, and one-world religion. In the meantime, the United States of America was founded on Godly principles and has been blessed by God so that we could be a blessing to Israel and the rest of the world, We are to uphold Godly principles, try to live Godly lives, and try to elect Godly men to govern us. Our most important commission in life is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ while doing all of that. Romney wasn't my first choice but he is the one running. We are not the same religion but I have to support him because he and I agree on more things than I do with Obama. We must be praying.
Sorry, it's Election Day...not elevgction day.
You probably already know this but I am mentioning it anyway. I think Obama is serenely confident of winning this election. Did you know a Spanish company, owned by an Obama supporter, will "count" American votes overseas in November? "...although the votes will be cast in hometown, American precincts on elevgction Day, with the Barcelona-based SCYTL taking charge of the process, they will be routed and counted overseas". www.westernjournalism.com/spanish-company-will-count-american-votes-overseas-in-november
