Either he compromises and loses his already divided base, or he stands firm and gets killed by the press and the 2014 electorate....The answer, Jimmy, IS US. WE must act quickly to unite and change the electorate.” I normally agree with you Panda, but see it different on this one. Boehner has a difficult position, but it's one that he has helped to make by capitulating to Democrats. He talks cuts while giving Democrats everything they want, but allows them to renign on the cuts. Then he goes back and does it all over again. Harry Reid is ready to push his “Rush Politics” again to get what he wants. Liberals love a “crisis” to allow for more massive spending.

I agree, he had the GALL to tell Fifth Column ABC that ObamaCare is the 'law of the land' and he won't work to repeal it. SO WHAT THE HECK IS HE DOING AS SPEAKER? We elected and gave the Republicans the MANDATE to repeal that piece of MARXIST scat..which was illegally pushed through via bribes by Nasty Pillousie and Dingy Dirty Harry. HE DID NOTHING, nada, zip, zero to LEAD the fight against the Demon RAT cabal..instead he was a sumissive DOG who flopped on his back when Dingy snarled at him, and Nasty hissed from her foul den and PEED all over himself and the CONSTITUTION, not to mention everyone who voted for the Republicans. HE NEEDS TO GO!
I am sick of hearing him whine about having only one third of one third of the government..

well that ONE THIRD is a powerful one third..IT HAS THE POWER OF THE PURSE. Instead he tells Greta he wants to find 'common ground' with the LOOTING USURPER..so how do you find 'common ground' with and Ayatoilet wannabe? Remember he was part of the plot to unseat Newt, and he was rewarded by being elected Speaker regardless of how spineless he is. Makes me wonder..what do the Obama thugs have on him?

"The 2009 economic stimulus law set the debt limit at $12.1 trillion. Congress increased the limit in December 2009 and February 2010 and again last summer, as part of a bipartisan budget agreement.
..the debt limit will rise immediately to $16.4 trillion, from the current ceiling of $15.2 trillion.

...Speaker John A. Boehner, boast that they have changed the conversation ... lawmakers focus on how to cut spending.
...Senator Tom Coburn, Republican of Oklahoma, complained that the Senate was allowing the debt limit to rise ...with little debate.
“We’ve argued... on how to rein in the federal government’s ...out-of-control spending. All the time that was going on, we were on ...on a spending binge, spending money we do not have...."

..we knew we had to borrow more money, Congress has done nothing to avoid raising the debt limit further. Nothing.”

Harry Reid said ...that if the $16.394 trillion current legal limit on the federal government's debt must be raised in the next few months by another $2.4 trillion, “We’ll raise it." That would set the debt limit at $18.794 trillion.

...after only 15 months, ...that additional borrowing ..has been exhausted..Treasury quietly announced ...that it expects the federal government to hit its legal debt limit before the end of this year..

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made no bones about raising the debt limit again. Be aware that Democrats will be proposing and inserting all kinds of "extras" into legislation. They will pad the bills to keep plenty of blame alive for any "nays".

Careful monitoring of all new legislation is more necessary than ever now.

Has the nation gone irreversibly blue? Did intraparty disunity sabotage Mitt Romney's presidential quest? Or is there some other explanation for the nation's re-election of a president with the worst record in decades?

I received an email from a brilliant conservative friend who wonders whether Republicans can ever win another election and thus whether the nation is forever lost. I ran into a college student at church the Sunday before the election, and despite his strong conservatism and high intelligence, he admitted confusion about the candidates' respective positions after the presidential debates.

My first reaction after...
