December of 1987 (96 murdered by Hector Escudero in Puerto Rico) and April 1990 (87 murdered by Julio Gonzalez in New York City). But because both were arson murderers, the mainstream media largely ignored these crimes. KNIVES ARE USED 4.75 TIMES MORE TO KILL PEOPLE THAN ANY TYPE OF RIFLE INCLUDING SO-CALLED "ASSAULT WEAPONS!" Personal weapons, "Hands, feet, etc." are used twice as much to kill people than any type of rifle.. Yet you don't hear about people trying to ban knives do you?

A gun control petition submitted to the White House’s powerful online petition site, ‘We the People,' shortly after the CT massacre quickly surpassed the number of signatures required to get an official administration response. As of writing, the number of signatures reached 119,505 (and is growing by the minute), far exceeding the 25,000 required. The petition states:
