Agreed... besides this is certainly is not the couples fault. And the concern over the advice columnists comment is misplaced since this is not something that anyone do anything about at this point.
I do agree that more needs to be done regarding how we treat mental illness. However, it seems in every one of these cases we hear about "moms" dealing with these issues. Where is Dad? I suspect that a lot of this rage these kids are exhibiting comes from that fact that they come from broken homes. Moms are working and Dads are missing .... in addition, we have no idea what kind of environment these moms have created in the home. Many children have rage issues when "mom" has different men coming and going ... which sometimes are abusive towards their children. The bottomline is these kids are not being raised by anyone. All these problems start in the home.

This article needs real facts. I know for a fact that in Ohio getting food stamps is tough, one dollar over the poverty level and no help. I also know West Virginia is the same since we boarder it. SOMETHING is not adding up here.... and I agree the increase is concerning on many levels.
