Happy New Year?

I believe that we went over the tipping point about 4 years ago. The Democrats were able at that time to paint all Republicans as uncaring, rich, old, white men, which may be true in certain cases, but also is true in the case of some Democrats (any Kennedy, John Kerry, etc.). However, the Democrats picked a token black man to run for president, though not "too" black to keep southern Democrats from voting for him. Then when the scandals started to leak to the surface, they circled the wagons around him to cover it all up. Then they were able to attack and defame anyone who said anything about his bulging closet full of scandals, by calling them racist, or birthers, or haters, or any of the other names they could think of.

(cont) They also had the wholehearted support of a press full of not-too-bright news readers, and Hollywood actors who don't know which way is up.
Then there is the case of the lost Republican ballots, tampered voting machines, 120,000 registered voters casting 132,000 votes, EVERY voter in most Philadelphia precincts voting for Obama (while people came forward to say that they voted for Romney) no votes were counted for Romney, and snowbirds from the north voting for Obama in Florida and also in NY, or Michigan, or Ohio.
We need a national voter registry, ID required to vote in any election, guards to chase Black Panthers from the polls. If anyone tries to vote as "Mickey Mouse" or a dead person, arrested and sent away for a LONG time.
The beginning of a new year is often a time to look forward and look back. The way the future looks, I prefer to look back -- and depend on my advanced age to spare me from having to deal with too much of the future.

If there are any awards to be given to anyone for what they did in 2012, one of those rewards should be for prophecy, if only because prophecies that turn out to be right are so rare.

With that in mind, my choice for the prediction of the year award goes to Bret Stephens of the Wall...
