Gun Nuts vs Anti-Gun Nuts

Kind of makes you wonder why the anti-gun nuts vehemently oppose armed security protection for the proven-to-be vulnerable "gun-free zones" such as schools. Could it be they want atrocities to continue in order to achieve their political/philosophical goal of a total gun ban? I believe there are court cases which concluded that the police are not required to protect you, so they usually only arrive in time for the body count. As a demonstration of good faith, I think POTUS and other advocates of disarmament should henceforth forego armed security for their own precious selves.

To make a semi-conspiracy-theory answer: They are not the least concerned about anyone's safety. Some on the left truly just don't like guns. The leadership, on the other hand, know they can never control an armed population. Actually making schools safe minimizes or eliminates one of their primary means to push their gun ban agenda. If there are no more school shootings, or even if the fear of more shootings is reduced, their "arguments" go out the window. If they were truly concerned, they would be addressing the criminal misuse of guns, not targeting the most law-abiding citizens in the country.

There are indeed court cases which have decided that the Police are not required to protect you; nor can they be held accountable for "failure to protect".

When seconds count, the Police are only minutes away!

Or to put it another way, YOU are your own First Responder. Gear up accordingly.
Got a fire extinguisher? How about a predator extinguisher?

He can't, because violent acts would be committed by the end of the week. He knows he has angered so many people that the loony ones want to hurt him. He knows guns protect him.

But he doesn't want YOU protected from HIM. His goons need superior fire power over you.

You're quite the optimist-I bet it'd be more like before Lunch.

The battle rages on about whether this country wants to further restrict the availability of guns, the types of guns and the ammunition to be used in those guns. On one side is what is referred to as the Gun Nuts with the point being taken by the NRA. Then there are the Anti-Gun Nuts - you don’t hear that term do you? They are being led by many -- including our President -- who states he is just proposing “common sense” changes. Then there are those of us caught in the middle of a gun fight.

There are plenty of...
