That's on page 987 of the socialist hand book: "when they catch on to what your doing, change the terminology." No matter what they call it it will still be "government run healthcare" as DanNV said

George W. Bush Secretly Visits Fort Hood

This is not the place for a discussion of politics. Take your cue from GW, this is the place to honor those who serve.

The terrorist attack at Fort Hood, had it been a Tim Mcvey type, would be ranted as a threat to our democracy. And so it is. Our men and women in uniform will do their duty regardless.

Which Way Will They Go?

the real question now becomes can they muster the votes. blue dogs will look at these results and realise that O's voters won't come out to support them, and thats defeat in 2010 if they follow reid and pelosi over the cliff. they may try to work with republicans to get something on their resumes. looks like fun watching the dems devour each other for the next year.

if you look into it,I'm sure you'll find the same is true for all the liberal advocacy groups. The problem is that the are given creedance by the liberal press and touted as authoritative.

Note to Donald, you should find another venue to purchase your insurance through, they do exist. AARP makes money off of you everytime you pay a premium.

Attacking Both Parties Leaves No Hope

unfortunately Democrat does equal being liberal. There is a Conservative Party, good luck getting one elected. I'd love to see all Republicans to be as principled as Reagan; I became a Republican because of him. The hard reality is that Medved is right though, because it really is an either or choice. The only two members of Congress not in either party are both ex-Dems, and for practical purposes still are. It's great if you want to work locally to get principled conservatives on the ballot so that the congress becomes more conservative, but deserting the republican party because the candidates aren't conservative enough just elects more liberal democrats, and we see how that works for us.

He's telling the truth there, in fact it seems that's all he's done so far.
since in many places you must be enrolled in a party to vote in the primary, perhaps some are registering as Republicans so they can effect who the candidates will be?
now it's up to $3,000,000,000,000, and we all know it'll be at least 3x that. Our children will be hard pressed to find grocery money once this goes through.

Isn't this exactly how fascist regimes run their business? If you can't silence your enemies, tax them into submission or out of bbusiness.
when I hear people talk about the lack of civil discourse in modern times, especially when they apply it to the press. It's a fun exercise to go to newspaper archives and read some of the old newspapers. Political figures, including Congressmen, and yes, even presidents, are called scoundrels, montebanks, and even worse.

Newspapers, the only form of dissemination of information prior too our electronic age, weren't even circumspect about it. Thus they called themselves "The Democrat" or "The Republican". They were vehicles for the spouting of the personal opinions of their owners. About the only difference from today is they weren't so pretentious then.
Today they would say the person is mistaken or misled; then they would say...
