I see unemployment dropped a bit. Can an Administration that invents Congressional Districts - and pretends to know about saved jobs - be counted on to tell us about the real unemployment rate? Why won't the pressures that caused bald-faced lies before not do so again?

You tell me. These amoral, machine-politicians will say anything to grab and hold onto power. I will be watching for an upward revision in the weeks/months to come. He should also get a bit of a bump up from Xmas hiring, so I'm sure he'll be claiming we've turned the corner. I hope he turns out right this time.

Pardon Me, Huckabee

So Huckabee gets all the kudos for his acts of compassion/mercy, but not the negative ones. While Huckterbee talks around the issue of responsibility, the fact remains he was disengenuous when asked about this case, and he was less than truthful on the Michael Medved Show last Thursday about the "non-violent" nature of this guy's crimes. He got 108 years correctly, and Huckerstbee's ego won't admit that. He's done; stick a fork in him. And I'm glad he's gone. I've never liked him, having always thought him a fraud and fake.

He advertised Dennis Rodman's website for Xmas work on his show yesterday. Dennis Rodman? I guess there were no other more deserving criminal's sentence to commute, and there was no other group working...

NYC to Obama: No You Won't

You still haven't read Saul Alinsky? He's bringing the terrorists here for a few reasons. First, as noted in the article, he's trying to discredit Bush and Cheney more. Second, he wants a narrative change: no more health care bad news and dropping polls. Third, he genuinely believes this is what should be done, and his condescending, sanctimonious self-righteousness compels him to treat law as if it were religious doctrine. Fourth, he promised on the campaign trail to do this very thing, so we shouldn't be shocked he's actually doing it. He's transforming America.

Notice he didn't have the courage to do this before the recent elections or before high-tailing it out of the country to avoid the firestorm or claiming Holder...

The Fertile Crescent

We have always had great difficulty acknowledging our real threats, especially when that threat is among us. We'll figure it out when we can't avoid the obvious conclusions anymore. Israel took decades to figure it out...and many there apologized for erecting a wall to protect their children from suicide bombers! Think that one through.

We can afford to indulge our PC sensibilities for now; but a time may come for us when we can no longer ignore the existential threat. And hopefully, just hopefully, it won't come at the expense of a city/state or two.
