There is a conceptual difference, so it might not be so redundant:
IQ is about ability to think or reason about facts;
Information is about what facts have been stored in that mind, which the mind can think about. In these cases, not much is in there.

It is confusing because Obama voters are "twofers" with "low, low" scores.

President Obama's second inauguration isn't until Monday, but that didn't stop a handful of LA residents from talking about how great it was to be there and experience it (even though it hasn't happened yet).

"I'm really proud of him."
