Thanks Doug. I grew up in roach, rat infested houses as a young teen. Got my act in gear one day and cleaned from top to bottom and made repairs to stop the "wildlife" activity. Later discovered that cleanliness was a Corps value and started my escape from "poverty". Great government program, join the military and get away from it all.........

If your are in poverty, getting out, especially with public education requires drive, perserverance, and a great deal of toil. My function in law enforcement places me in daily contact with poverty and I see "poor" folks with high end cell phones, shoes costing more than one hundred dollars per pair, belts that sag to their knees and in general total misdirection of their funds in a manner that appears to be self defeating by my estimation. Many making more than I, but I don't live in poverty. Because of my management of my money I live differently. I'm not poor.

Allison, try to see that everyone isn't a mind numbed liberal before I put my size thirteen combat boot where it will be effective.

Continuing threats of TAX increases by the administration create an uncertainty that causes FEAR in the market place. When that uncertainty is removed maybe I will grow my business, until I can't see risking my money on the poker table of the democratic controlled economy. My family is better served by keeping it in a coffee can in the back yard.

....And a lot of us don't. Is there a point?

I'm going to accept that Mizz Garofalo is a comedian only because I have heard it before. On FOX news during the '08 campaign she showed her true colors by getting into a tirade with Brian Kilmeade. The only thing I took away from that is her belief that she knows best and no one else has a clue. Could someone notify me the next time she has an appearence so I can see her say something amusing.... then again her rants are amusing.
