Seven Reasons Government Has Become Completely Dysfunctional in America

All of the "reasons" given are but symptoms, not root causes. Walt Kelly, in his comic strip "Pogo" isolated the real problem years ago. "Pogo"'s comment was "We have met the enemy, and it is us!" Why has all of these symptoms occurred? Because we continue to elect the same caliber of politicians into office. Unless "We the People" take a genuine interest and concern for our country - not for OUR OWN personal interest - unless we take an active part in what has been and is happening in Washington, nothing will change. We repeatedly send the same self-serving politicians to Washington whose only concern is what is best for them - for their perpetuity in office - rather than what is best for our country.
