There's no doubt marijuana use is harmful. There is also no doubt that 16 oz. sodas are harmful. As people who believe in INDIVIDUAL liberty, granted by God, we cannot start choosing which freedoms we strip from our fellow citizens based on our own personal preferences. That makes us no better than the liberals who are slowly turning America into a police state. You know this, Dennis. That's why you tried to justify your position by citing accident statistics... but you know as well as I do that accident statistics are politicized nonsense. MADD started it, now the cellphone haters and the marijuana users are doing it: confusing correlation with causation so they can blame traffic accidents on their devil du jour.

"A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both." - by Eisenhower, Dwight D.

What part of this concept aren't you mature enough to understand!?

You have that quote exactly backwards in your interpretation. Exercise of freewill with no harm to another is hardly what I would label a privilege. Some of us call that a right.
The government's only job is to protect individual rights. Which means; if one wishes to use a substance that harms only his own mind and body, no person alive has any power or right to say otherwise. Conversely, if one chooses to use said substance and that use causes a violation of another's rights, then the government has every authority to punish that person.

Denver television station CBS4 reports that Colorado has seen a sharp spike in marijuana use among teenagers since Colorado voters passed Amendment 64 last November legalizing recreational use of the drug. As described in The Economist, along with a Washington State measure also legalizing marijuana, Amendment 64 is "an electoral first not only for America but for the world."

That means two American states are to the left of the Scandinavian countries, Holland, and every other liberal country regarding marijuana.

CBS4 quotes a number of local high school students:

"I've seen a lot more people just walking...
