I wish you had mentioned the Senate Conservatives Fund website and mission about a couple of weeks ago. Instead, you hawked the NRCC and the NRSC, and urged us to send money, which I did, now I'm back on the NRCC's list and receiving those ridiculous "Survey's". They keep recycling the same crap over and over - I feel like they think I'm watching Sesame Street or something. Wake up and start focusing on the real issues - Character in Candidates, Republican principles, like true Representative Government, moral values and convictions, strong defense, balanced budget, limited government, say no to bribes, truth in speech and actions. This is not new stuff, we just need people who can't hide behind the press or a publicist or campaign...
History is boring because most people today remove the Author and His purpose. If you want excitement, read Providential Views of History. Views of the Founders themselves. The late Verna Hall, and Rosalie Slater's books can be found at http://www.face.net, or Dr. Marshall Foster and Mary-Elaine Swanson's book The American Covenant, The Untold Story, now almost 30 years old, but a classic. David Barton , http://www.wallbuilders.com has amazing books about the patriot generation and the impact they had then and now in the world. Mr. Bennett is correct, people don't self-study any more, and that's a Character decline, and how is character built? Do a self-study. Jim

Mr. Stossel,
I recently watched a series of YouTube videos that I found in "Search" just by typing in "Bob McEwen". He represents some of the simple facts about our Republic that others rush by and don't notice or understand. He has some great economic comparatives, and his premise is Less Government = More Prosperity; More Government = More Poverty.
Sorry to see you leave main stream media, they need rational voices desperately, when you only hear one side of things you start to believe what you are hearing, but their loss is Fox's gain. Welcome.
