you sign up. It's not that I feel no compassion for the families, it's that I don't believe lawsuits are the way to go. Their union dues should take care of the wife/husband in the form of a permanent pension. If the Mine management behaved irresponsibly and their actions directly caused the miners deaths, they should be jailed...not sued. Same with doctors, what good is a lawsuit if a negligent doctor can still practice. There should be no pain and suffering awards, that's just BS. Only actual damages and the Doctor loses his license or is suspended.
