Mining is a dangerous business and all miners are no doubt aware. You take your chances when
you sign up. It's not that I feel no compassion for the families, it's that I don't believe lawsuits are the way to go. Their union dues should take care of the wife/husband in the form of a permanent pension. If the Mine management behaved irresponsibly and their actions directly caused the miners deaths, they should be jailed...not sued. Same with doctors, what good is a lawsuit if a negligent doctor can still practice. There should be no pain and suffering awards, that's just BS. Only actual damages and the Doctor loses his license or is suspended.

How about this. We bring in scanners to all airports and create 2 lines for security checks. The fast line that requires a quick scan and a slow line that requires whatever it is they use now. I think that most people would be OK with a scan.
While we're at it, allow NO carry on luggage...nothing more then a pocketbook (and not one of those giant things) or briefcase.

I'm afraid that the problem here is that there are far too many un-infomned voters. The MSM is behind the libs 100% and they have been hammering away at the Right and covering for the Left for 8 years. Eventually, the un-informed voter and particularly the young voter (who grew up hearing the slander) are going to buy into the hype that we saw (Hope and Change anyone?). The MSM now have far too much control over the elections. That and the fact that many are too stupid to vote.
