I was truly overwhelmed by this article, better yet, letter to the Newtown families. I am a gun owner and I follow all the laws in my state. People need to realize that people like me have great empathy for the Newtown but know that laws passed by emotion v intelligence make no sense. There are laws already on the books our justice department choose to ignore. How about locking up the bad guys breaking the law instead of picking on those of us who are good guys.

Great article!!! Yeah, we now have a "Nanny" country. DC need to mind its own business and stay out of mine. I really don't care about calorie counts when I go out to dinner - waste of paper.

Shame on them for claiming that God fearing people were to be considered terrorists. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values - were our founding fathers terrorists? I think not.

On the other hand, where are the laws to prevent the mentally ill from obtaining guns? Missing right! and criminals will never follow any laws passed. 2014 is coming soon so maybe we should really research our candidates before going to the polls.

As usual, the SHAMEFUL behavior of OBAMA and his wife are causing our Senators, who take an oath to protect the constitution) to ram thru gun laws which will only affect honest, law abiding citizens. Thanks to the mental health lobby, ther will be nothing in the new laws preventing the mentally ill from obtaining guns. Criminals don't follow any laws and are easily able to pick up a gun on the street. Time to take a serious look at the 2014 candidates before going to the polls.

I have been complaining about Obama's shameful behavior re: the constant dragging of the Newtown parents into the public eye time and time again on my facebook page. This is outrageous behavior since it does not allow these parents time and space to grieve and heal. I guess he just enjoys rubbing salt into their wounds to continue their pain. We all know that new laws would not have prevented what happened there and Newtown is being used as an excuse to take away our 2nd amendment rights. Shame on Obama, his wife and our representatives in DC for their involvement in this behavior.

This is absolutely outrageous. Some people just cannot mind their own business, and for some reason think they know better that a child's parent. Wow!!! Good thing I didn't post anything on facebook when my daughter was 8 and son was 6 when I took them to the gun range and taught them how to shoot. Even more important, I taught them respect for guns and they never touched them outside the range. That was how my family taught me and I passed it on to my children.

That is outrageous! A person injured in battle should never be outdone by a computer jockey. Medals are awarded for valor not computer games.
