Liberals like to label anyone who disagrees with them "haters".

IRS Now Robo-audits Your Spending

jgoebel Wrote: Apr 09, 2013 4:55 PM
The biggest problem with income tax is that it is so easy to cheat. Although the consumption tax is inherently fair, it will also be difficult to fairly enforce. The fairest and easiest tax to collect would actually be a national property tax. Those who don't own property would pay through their rentals. It was revealed just this week that the government loses $385 billion each year through income tax cheating. Any IRS effort to use sophisticated tracking techniques to stem this is welcome. So Mr. Norris is off base in trying to villainize the IRS.
Everything you say is true regarding legal marriage. But then, the state has always had the right to define a legal family. They are just expanding the field. But what the state cannot touch is sacramental marriage, as defined by our religious faith. That's our promise to God to join with a member of the opposite sex for the rest of our lives to create a family in worship of Him. We don't have to get all out of joint with what the state is doing. If that is bad, it will reveal itself in time.

Video Game Manufacturers Are in Denial

jgoebel Wrote: Dec 23, 2012 10:05 PM
Sure they can deny it. There are mega bucks to be made on video games. Money is the greatest corrupter. Video games often portray the player as a freedom fighter or assassin in the cause of justice. Today, as the chorus for gun control was gaining steam, the other half of the population was flocking to gun shows and stores, preparing for their own days as self-styled freedom fighters and assassins in the coming war to protect their second amendment rights. Hang on, America. It's going to get ugly.
You are right on, Rachel. No sane, sensible person can oppose your suggestions.

Report: Sad Federal Employees :(

Federal Workers: Tired of being trashed by people like Mr. DeHaven? I am. But there is someone who is willing to stand up for us. Check out your local chapter of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Workers (NARFE) or go on-line to www.narfe.org to look up your option of joining as an e-member. You do good work (most of the time) and are definitely not overpaid. If there are too many of us, the right solution is a studied elimination of government functions, not punishing all federal employees across the board.
Active and retired federal employees: Do you want to counteract and defend yourselves against the lies seen on this page? Seek out and join your local chapter of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), or go to www.narfe.org to learn about our e-chapters. Vicious articles and comments like the ones you see here serve only to denigrate the loyal and hardworking public servants you know you have been.
I hope Republicans don't start pandering to Blacks or Latinos for that matter, to get their vote. I'd feel better about my party if we just stand firm on our principles of fairness and proper ways to immigrate. We might take some losses for a while, but in time the liberals should become victims of their own failure.

That's a stretch to blame our president for the current mideast flareup. Obama will not turn his back on Israel. He is too beholden to his Jewish friends in Hollywood and TVland.

How a Bitter Election Will End

jgoebel Wrote: Nov 04, 2012 6:05 PM
Mr. Chapman, you are right in that we have a heritage of those in power gracefully giving it up if they lose the election, but in a more ideal situation, the losers would say, "We gave it our best shot. We lost. Now we'll cooperate with the winners for the good of the country." That last sentiment has been noticeably absent since the election of 2000.
