The only thing that will slow down gun crimes is severe punishment for committing an act of violence with a gun. Not placing new laws about what guns we can buy or who can buy them. Criminals and crazies alike don't care about or don't understand right and wrong. They do how ever care about punishment they will receive. If the state governments wanted gun crime to decrease they would enact laws that ENFORCED SEVERE PUNISHMENT for gun crimes unlike here in New York where DWI carries a harsher punishment than crimes with guns. They are not dumb they know this but the objective is to disarm all citizens. The worst idiot on the planet realizes that the definition of a criminal is someone who doesn't follow the laws.
