Hopefully Newt can get another landslide like in SC. You're right, Santorum needs to bow out. See this article: http://stevedeace.com/news/national-politics/santorums-choice/ I think we'll see Newt's poll numbers rise drastically as the week goes on. Obviously the negative ads didn't affect Newt; the interview with the bitter ex backfired. WE THE PEOPLE aren't buying the MSM garbage anymore, including Fox News, who seems to be in the bag for Romney as well.

Check out the photos of the Crystal Lake Tea Party tracking down the FLEE Party of Wisconsin! http://biggovernment.com/amarcus/2011/02/22/breaking-photos-wisconsin-fleebagger-spotted-in-illinois-update-police-called-to-fleebag-hotel/ http://blog.crystallaketeaparty.com/
Mark Kirk is probably one of the most liberal congressmen in Illinois. The fact that he has an "R" after his name makes it even worse. I will work hard to make sure he is not elected in the primary and it has nothing to do with his gayness. People here in Illinois have known that for a long time. I STRONGLY oppose him because he gets an F- from the NRA; 100% rating from Planned Parenthood, voted for Cap and Trade (what were you thinking???); against the surge in Iraq (which worked by the way); and the other liberal votes too numerous to mention here! His ads on the radio are a JOKE, claiming he's fiscally conservative. He blew that with his Cap and Trade vote, which, rumor has it was bribe/blackmail. He's already proven to be a...
After reading the resources that Junie provided, these people definitely did not do their homework!
But you see only a few conservatives in IL picked Hughes and told us he was the anointed one. This cannot happen again. There were so many red flags about Hughes it was ridiculous. Hughes paid Paul Caprio early on to get their support, among other unscrupulous actions, all evident in Hughes' financials. The conservatives sulking are the ones who picked this candidate and couldn't admit he was not a good choice. they have no one to blame but themselves for Kirk's win. Shame.

Let's not make this mistake again.
....since you live in CA, I'm sure you haven't actually MET Hughes, or talked to people who heard him, met him, and saw his arrogance, anger, and the bill of goods he sold Sandy and her gang, and tried to sell the rest of us. Hughes actually reminds me of Obama - the arrogance, and anger when confronted, especially if one disagrees with him. He has no conservative history, and he can tell us anything he thinks we want to hear. Remember that hope and change we heard? How's that working out for us? Supporters of Hughes were dropping like flies after meeting him. I actually supported him in the beginning until I saw his real colors. Too bad some folks couldn't admit they were wrong in their endorsement of Hughes. Ego problems got in...
Fact is, even if all of the supporters turned their vote to Hughes, he still would have lost to Kirk. If the small group of conservatives that decided for us who the chosen one would be had actually invited Don Lowery into the process, instead of ignoring him, we may have won. They would have found the real conservative. Unfortunate for Sandy and her group, as people met Hughes, witnessed his anger at being asked about his dismal voting record, support for Hughes quickly waned. True, he had the connections to get media attention, but for the people who actually did the research and attended events and saw him in action, they were sorely disappointed. When told that the choices were only Hughes or Kirk I'm sure many voters stayed...
