A Korean Nightmare

Absolutely, in Vietnam, the very best of the best fighters were the S. Korean or ROK's! I believe also that Obummer probably doesn't have the testicular fortitude to order any sort of strike on the North, he would set up our military as a defensive unit and order no movement north of the DMZ. Since a state of war has existed with N Korea since the cease fire, there need be no declaration of war from either side.
In a gun fight there is no fair. As for home defense, a sawed off 12 guage with #4 buck shot and an extended magazine tube is just the weapon, the #4 buck will not penatrate walls as easily as the .223, or the .45ACP for that matter but puts out lead in a spread so accuracy isn't necessary, point and spray till the bad guys stop! However if it's Obama's thugs coming to take my guns, I would prefer an AR-15 or if the gloves came off, an M-60 machine gun with a good gunners mate and a thousand rounds of .308 ammo.
Truth be known those old Gatling guns were considered artillery by the Army back then, and the were when compared in size to today's M-60 and variants. They had very long barrels and were very heavy, needing a couple of horses just to pull them along with the fast moving cavalry. It was my understanding from my study of the battle that the guns were not split off, but left at Fort Lincoln since they were not considered a good cavalry weapon. Now if old George had armed his men with ar-15's and 30 round magazines then he might have had a chance of survival at that battle.
Some say you need an AR or an AK for home defense, I would differ on that, both weapons fire a high velocity round that can penatrate the walls of your home, and have the potential of killing someone sleeping in an adjoining bedroom. I keep a 12 Gauge shotgun loaded with #4 Buckshot. This fires a bunch of round balls about the same size as the 32 ACP round that will indeed kill anyone who is in the way of your shot, however it will not kill your kids in the next room. Just my opinion, I still think I should be able to keep my AR-15 if I want, they make a great gun for shooting pests and defending your home from an outside attack. They also make a great weapon for today's minute men.
Sorry to say, you are indeed wrong there are assault weapons, and they are already banned. I have been a soldier (8 years) A police officer (23 years) and a gunsmith (8 years), and have fired several assault weapons. In fact we carried them in Vietnam, an assault weapon differs from the AR-15 in one important way, it lacks the selector switch which allows you to fire either semi auto (the same as the civilian version) or full automatic (thus being banned as a machine gun, and you need a special permission from the fed to own one of those. The same as the AK-47 selector switch illegal, no selector switch not an assault weapon, and thus legal.

Well now we know how Germany elected Hitler, I surely hope that we will not experience the horrors that Germany had to suffer for their folly. Like many who saw the trouble coming, I have considered running to a neighboring nation, however funds and disability preclude the fleeing, I guess I must wait for the camps to be opened, since I have registered as a Republican I suppose I will be one of the first to be deported to the camps. I only hope I get a warm one as I am getting old and the cold really bothers me now days.

Times have really changed, I guess now days I would have been kicked out of the University of North Dakota had I been heard asking an idiot lady whom I was tutoring in paralegal studies which university that black b*z&^h Oprah got her law degree, when she was trying to use an Oprah quote to argue a legal point for a class. Of course that was back in the mid 90's I would imagine that just wouldn't make the grade now days even in North Dakota. (Probably wouldn't have made the grade there either if the wrong person had heard me, this took place in the Student Union.)
Please keep this in mind, not only is it important for every person who reads and posts to this article to insure that they and there's get out and VOTE, and not just for Romney but for the entire REPUBLICAN party, every Republican running for ANY office, local, state and Federal! We need not only the White House to turn this around but a clear majority in both houses to get things back to a place where COMMON SENSE rules. We need to clean house on useless departments and useless Federal Employees.

However back then we had NO insurance but you could afford the visit to the doc because I didn't need an x-ray to see if the nail did any internal damage or several blood tests or surgery to clean up the wound, just got a shot and went back home and soaked my foot in lysol water twice a day, dad paid the twenty bucks and it was done with.

I guess I am a bit confused on today's usage of the health care system. When I was a kid, you didn't go to the doctor (as my dad used to say) every time you had a fart up your behind sideways! I and my siblings grew up with visits to the doctor when something was really wrong, for example I saw the doc about three times when I was a kid, first time appendicitis, other two times after I stepped on nails (we lived on a farm lots of nails about). Oh and when I needed glasses I guess, same doctor back then. Now days kids know their doctors on a first name basis and see them every six months or so. Heck even my doc now sees me monthly but now I do need the health care but I am disabled now and an old fart besides.
