Michael, I can relate to your co-worker's dilemma. When Dayna and I felt led by the Lord to begin Grace Place, it was inevitable that our kids had to be told. Fortunately, all three responded better than we could have expected. If your co-worker wants free advice from somone who's been there, feel free to direct him my way.

Consider this. Envision three delivery rooms, side by side, each with a pregnant woman at 40 weeks and ready to deliver.

Room 1: Doctor A delivers a healthy baby. Delivery room and family in waiting area celebrate. Hospital prepares a birth certificate for their CHILD, complete with footprints and fingerprints.

Room 2: Doctor B performs delivery but, due to complications, the BABY is stillborn child. Mom & Dad and family in waiting area are traumatized because they lost a CHILD...not a fetus. Coroner is involved to issue death certificate (required for all HUMAN deaths). Funeral home must come and take the CHILD to prepare for burial. Parents must make funeral arrangements to bury their CHILD.
