I can still recall coming home from work at Fort Bliss to my quarters at 339 Merritt Road Fort Bliss Tx. and watching with a tear in my eye when MY President, the man who got us out of Vietnam, the man who stood up for our military while the nation turned their backs on us as we got off the planes from Nam, resigned. Nixon was TEN TIMES better then Obama, or even Clinton for that matter. He behaved in a presidential manner all while he served. I can only hope when Obama sees the Republican bulls coming his way he acts with the dignity of the office and steps down before the impeachment begins.
Unproven - our ambassador is dead! Unproven - No help was sent! Unproven - The president was nowhere to be found! Unproven - THEY LIED for a MONTH! I don't think ANY of those are unproven, what we want to know now is what the president knew and when did he know it! (for those who have not lived through what I have, those were the words of the DEMOCRATS when they went after Nixon for a simple burglary at the Watergate! Compare that to the bodies that lay around our embassy while the president was out trying to drum up some votes! I don't think it will be we Republicans who come out looking bad after these hearings are over!
You do have a point, a Mexican family, previously unknown in our little corner of South Dakota till the present day, purchased the home next door from the City for minimal money on the basis he had to paint it and clean up the yard. Ok fine, I served with many hispanic folk in the Army and always got along fine and considered them good friends, but this guy. He indeed painted the house an ugly shade of blue with a sort of cream trim, well better then the pealing paint that was there I guess. He mowed the lawn, took down some broken trees, and the town rejoiced, this house was back to being a fine example of a refurbished home. That was 3 years ago. Now--- pickup parts lay all over the back yard, piles of wood from the trees cut down 3 years ago still litter our yard boundry, the garage is nearly falling down, shingles from it's roof litter his yard and I need to pick them up from mine. He has several disabled outfits in his back yard, scraps of tin, a huge dog kennel with pit bulls in it barking every time a car drives by, and the SOB had the balls to ask me to trim my tree because it looked like nobody lived here! The only thing in my back yard is a large motor home that I drive in the spring-summer and fall till the snow flies. I think I can see his point. But perhaps I am basing my view on just one man and the fact he is mexican has nothing to do with it. I would believe that had I not lived in El Paso for six years of my life before coming home to retire.

I can only hope that this will be the final straw for Gov Brewer, and that the good people of Arizona, those who are not imigrants from the Republic of California will see they, like we in America as a whole need a change in their Chief Administrator.

Nothing says that the cake has to taste good right? The flowers can be a few days old stock can't they? The photographer can come up with the :"shakes" can't they? Oh prices? Well you get my drift...

We have become a nation of compliance, sheep, followers of the latest "in" thing. We have allowed our courts to become legislators, our legislators to become nothing but debaters, and our president to become a dictator. What else can we expect but the tearing down of our principals, the exhaustion of our funds to give to the enemy, to those who can but will not work, lest they loose their food stamps, their free obamaphones, and now slaves to the unholy who refuse to comply with the expected standards of society.. I used to say, I don't care if you are gay, and I still don't, and I used to say, it's OK for civil joiner, and I still think it is, as why should they not suffer the pain and anguish of divorce? HOWEVER marriage is a holy state, not just a legal state, and is defined by the religion of the strong majority of our citizens. The courts have NO right in violating our Constitution by forcing us to observe a religious ceremony for those who it is not allowed by our God, it is against our core values. Enough, I am not a preacher, just an old disabled cop who still see's the world through the eyes that, while born in the early 1950's and watched a wonderful society crumble bit by bit till today it is nothing even close to what I was back then. I too have sat on the side, watching, shaking my head at what our nation has become, till today I have had about enough. We MUST take a stand, there comes a time when we have to get back to the teachings of our founders, THE MAJORITY RULE! I only thank God that I don't have so awful many years left to be forced to watch this transformation of a free nation to one of slavery to the judiciary.
The thing is, at least for me, I just plain hate having people next to me talking to their friends or whoever on a cell phone. I think it is just plain noise that is preventable, the constant "you know" and giggles and that lot. It's bad enough when I am driving down the interstate at 80 MPH and a lady who is texting with her phone in the middle of her steering wheel passes me doing nearly 90 MPH. Now that's dangerous and it happened to me just a few weeks ago in the middle of a South Dakota winter with the accompanying. I don't see the reason why a person can't give up that phone pasted to their ears on a normal day at least 12 hours a day for a few hours while on a flight. I don't think they even realize why we old farts think it not only a bore but plain wrong and annoying as hell. I thank god that my days of flying are in my past, and when I did fly it was still when we were treated as guests and not as baggage. Now days my idea of public transportation has become a ride in the ambulance or perhaps the big black station wagon with the Cadillac logo.
They say everyone lies, well the last time I was conned in to lying was in 1969, that got me in so damn much trouble that I have tried my best to never put myself in a spot where I had to lie, and I think I have done a damn good job of just that in these last 44 years of wedlock to the woman who conned me into lying. Oh I am sure I stretched things a bit when I was interviewing suspects in my 20 years on the job, and during my 8 years in the Army I may have stretched the truth a bit to my men when we were preparing to do our duties but each time it was to protect either the public or the troops. Obama does it just because he thinks everyone will believe him because of the office he holds, most true Americans who have been watching this idiot try to bluff his way through the job he was illegally elected to by dead, and multi voters is comical at best, a true horror at it's worst. If he were a Republican he would have been impeached and removed long ago, but because it would look bad to impeach the first black President, might look as racist as telling the truth about the murder rate among black on black crime, and the lack of white on black murders in the US, well that would be just wrong for the press as well.
The sad thing about this is, it seems they just get by with this, and nobody seems inclined to call them on it. What ever happened to serving the public with honor, pride and integrity? This was the motto of our police department back when I was a young patrolman, and should be the same for the idiots who were sent to office by cheating voters who voted up to six times each to insure a win, and still barely got these idiots back in office. God help these United States of America, and God don't save the King!
From what I hear, old Piers has quite a collection of firearms that he loves so much he will stay in the good old US of A to keep them.
