looks like Pres. Obama hit a home run. The reactions are so sputtering and angry, and even more incoherent than usual from the wingnuts that you KNOW this battle has been won by the Dems.

Sorry folks -- Repubs lost all around on this one -- including any shred of credibility they had left. The famous Wilson Hissy Fit, then crawling on his hands and knees to apologize, just proves what losers so many of them are. What a huge embarrassment for the Repubs.

The winners aren't the Dems and the Repubs; it's the people who have been so battered by HC costs that their lives have been ruined. They have truly won.

Not Far Enough -- And Way Too Far

Dawn says: "He stated something to the effect that if we did not go into Iraq, univeral healthcare and free icecream would be a flat fact. Shameful! I stand with Joe Wilson"

"He stated something to the effect" is the EXACT reason why Obama finally put his foot down and demanded that people stop misinterpreting the bill. "Something to the effect" means that you didn't listen - you heard only what you wanted to hear -- and then you filled in the blanks based on your own ideology. Finally Obama said "Enough."

He summed it up perfectly. He'll listen to those who have an idea or a plan, but he won't be fooled by stalling tactics or by people presenting nonesense like death panels and granny-killing.

Finally it has...
Good points. But it's not "at some point" that the world is tuning out the looneys -- it's happenend already. Nobody is paying any attention outside of this site and maybe a few other batshiitt crazy righ-wing sites. This garbage about objecting to his speech to the kids is just being looked at as another paranoid raving.

Someone commented that the WH changed the speech due to protests. Another lie. As if someone is going to read some crazy nutbag's rant about how Obama is a socialist, communist, racist, muslim, etc...and take that seriously???

It's comical but tragic at the same time. This just drives people away - even if their views are conservative, sane people have no interest in associating with this trashy...
He's the POTUS. For those people somewhere in middle-age, we've been through a couple of presidents. The POTUS isn't a God, and shouldn't really impact your life as much as you guys let Obama affect yours.

You take up this Obama-hating as some kind of religion, some kind of cause. I'll repeat: To most of those who voted for him, they voted for a POTUS. NOT for someone who will change their lives, or someone they love, or someone they'd die for. I thought Bush was one of the dumbest people who ever lived, but he was elected POTUS twice. So, you live with it, and you work positively for a candidate to be elected next time who meets your needs. Those who shouted out during Bush's speeches were boorish too - no one should do...
who use Facebook and 85 people signed up supporting Joe Wilson? Doesn't sound like much support now does it?

So, still think more people DON'T want universal HC?
How many times do you have to hear it??? It's because you ARE LOONEY TUNES!!! Get a clue for chrissake!!!

Obama admin. has reached the point where altho, they have tried, they no longer want to hear from you fruitcakes. They tried, but all they got was Birther garbage, screeching about socialism and death panels. Why should they keep trying?

Truth be told: You're not a big enough group to worry about from a voting point of view. They've figured out there are a few thousand people in this HUGE country who are KKK holdovers, like Ronna, paranoid, and just plain dumb as dirt. You're getting in the way. It's a nuisance to waste time trying to address people who remain willfully ignorant despite the truth being as...
"It's pitchfork and torch time" Really? Well, then, you go, girl! You go run along now and get your pitchfork and torch and Oh don't forget the white hood to go along with it. You've either watched too many movies or you live completely in a fantasy land.

But, I'd love to see how many "pitchforks and torches" join you. Maybe you can round up the dozen people that will be at the "teabagger's delight" costume party in DC on Saturday -- I hear they're dressing up as rubes and lowlifes. Big hair for the ladies and white t-shirts and pants with suspenders with huge beer gut hanging over for the gents. And white hoods of course.

Rush On Kennedy

and Rush is bloated, angry slob. Who ya gonna go with?

My guess is 10% Rush, 90% Kennedy
You're right. We definitely should be thanking Joe Wilson and his ugly, childish outburst. It will help boost Obama's initiative and futher demonstrates how utterly lacking in brains, common sense and plain old manners these thugs on the far right are.
came later, when Wilson came crawling on his hands and knees asking for forgiveness for being the biggest jack(a)ss of the evening. Even most of the Repubs thought he reinforced his reputation as a first-class, ignorant slob. I also liked it when I read that his probable Dem. opponent in 2010 received about $50,000 in campaign contributions last night. So looks like yet another seat for the Dems in 2010.

If there were any doubts that conservtives are nothing but loud-mouthed, ignorant, and totally devoid of any class at all, then this speech certainly put those doubts to rest.

Obama rocked the house. Reform will happen. THAT was truly my favorite part.
