Actually RAISING THE DEBT CEILING (without substantial spending cuts) will cause Republicans to loose their posteriors in 2012. Why don't we all consider PUTTING THE COUNTRY FIRST instead of continuing with the "gimme, gimme, gimme" mentality so prevalent in this nations. Nobody really knows multiple verses of the National Anthem anymore. These days, I am just happy when a few people join me in singing the FIRST VERSE!

It matters not if she was an atheist. Just because I find her ECONOMIC principles interesting doesn't mean I follow her religious principles (or lack thereof). Unlike those who are trying to destroy relgion, the mere existence of something else doesn't discriminate against me!

I am so sick of hearing "separation of church and state"... while that phrase is frequently used, it appears nowhere in our founding documents. There is NOTHING in the Constitution or Declaration of Independence that prohibits the mention of God, the inscribing of scripture on public buildings, etc., none of which establishes a religion nor prohibits the free exercise thereof. If it did, then me walking by a Buddhist temple would constitute worshiping Buddah!!!

I am SO SICK of the phrase "comprehensive immigration reform".. When you come home and a pipe has burst and your basement is flooding, you don't take a "comprehensive" approach..."Hmmmm, we can probably save table.... what firm should we call for the water damage... when we repaint what color should we use...." NO, YOU FIX THE FREAKIN' LEAK!!!!! All of the rest can be dealt with individually, or in groups of actions later. SECURE OUR BORDERS...THEN we can decide whether there should be any sort of amnesty program (I'm against it, but willing to discuss it), guest worker program, etc., etc.....

My attitude these days when someone tries to label me a racist because I have pointed out something uncomfortable to them is "I'm not a racist, but even if I was, how does that change the fact that YOU are a [insert original point here]"

Actually, I believe the 85% figure is off slightly, but still the VAST MAJORITY OF AMERICANS oppose this monstrosity. In arguing about government run health care (and make no mistake, if any version of this beast is passed, it will BECOME single-payer government health care) I ask for only two things from its proponents:
1) Name one single federal entitlement program that has been managed efficiently...IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY!

2) It's corollary, Name one single entitlement progam that has EVER, IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY, come in at, or extremely near, it's estimated cost.

So far I'm still waiting for a [correct] answer!
