Telling 20 to 25 million unemployed people that you want to cut unemployment compensation because you plan to create more jobs real soon isn't going to generate lots of enthusiasm either. Telling people who are getting government assistance that we can't afford to continue to do so any longer will result in the kind of response that the government of Greece is getting from its citizens.
