In response to:

Whiny Atheists Protest Charlie Brown Christmas Special

Once again, Doug Giles completely misses the point. He is like a man who skimmed the novel War and Piece over three minutes, and finds himself as an expert on it. Atheists want the government not taking positions on religion. The government, Dougie. Not churches or individuals. WHy you have so much trouble grasping that, I have no idea. Atheists wouldn't want, "In no God we trust" on our money. IN this case, would you want children taken to a mosque to learn a play about the origins of Muhammad. Christian rightwingers don't even want mosques built in the U.S.! SO stop the phony outrage Doug.

They want to make a position on faith rather than the government..they disregard our true history, and our Founders. They'd have protested in Philly when the Founders knelt and prayed when they came to the impass while creating the Constitution. And they listened to Ben Franklins advice. They'd have squeaked like the little mousies they are when they heard Washington dedicate this republic to Almighty GOD and would have picketed the little Chapel where he led his government for a prayer service..That chapel survived 9 -11 as it is located in the shadow of the WTC. There are so many
indications that this country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles they'd wear themselves out
protesting. However their tactic has worked for decades

by working to change our history education and dumbing down our kids. That's the reason so many don't have the critical thinking skills earlier students learned and voted for Barry, it's all self esteem and feeeeelings ya know.

"Atheists want the government not taking positions on religion."

Nonsense. Atheists are simply trying to use the government to silence other religions by casting their own beliefs as a "non-religion," by taking advantage of the fallacious, unconstitutional "separation of church and state" argument.

Jerome - if that's the way you want it, then get all the LGBT cr&p out of the schools, too. I don't believe the "Gay is okay" religion, but my kids are indoctrinated daily in public schools.

The problem with atheists is that they're not interested in "no belief" or "no religion" as they falsely claim. They want their belief and religion (non-theistic though it is) promoted to the exclusion of all others.

Sorry Jerome but you have no point.

Have never seen him, but most people do not, although some hats might make it look that way.

Do recall a Jew saying his parents were glad to get here, with Christians being as tolerant as they are, seeing as the parents got out of a country where their relatives were being made into soap. An end product of Atheism.

It's a typo dougie, your whole column is always a typo.

The atheists I grew up with in Texas were a tad bit pluckier than today’s lardy hagfish atheists who file lawsuits every winter when they see a child wrapped in swaddling clothes.

Yep, the anti-theists I used to hang out with in the Lone Star state were rugged individualists who were so busy milking this existence that they didn’t have time to bleat like a stuck sheep because a plastic baby Jesus statue endangered their delicate beliefs.

My other non-believing buddies who weren’t the robust Hemingway types were usually heady stoners who were into physics, Pink Floyd and Frisbee and were...
