Being fat is a readily apparent character flaw. In our current political system, the perception of a politicians character matters to the electorate. Cheating is punished, smoking is shunned (though not so much because many started smoking before it was thought to be SOOO terrible), but both of these can be done behind closed doors. Being fat cannot. Personally, I have no problem with our politicians being skinny. Obesity is a huge burden on our healthcare system, especially with skyrocketing rates of NIDDM. Moral of the story, if you want to be president, you should be faithful, try to quit smoking, and make certain you can fit into an airplane seat.
its pretty funny that most of the people in the tea party that are protesting their "higher taxes" are too stupid to realize that they actually received a tax cut this past year. I wonder if, perhaps, they are upset about something else besides their taxes... and they are just too ashamed to admit it.

Let us see what America's representative government does in response to this law.

And if this law is enforced in a way in which EVERY PERSON involved in a lawful encounter with police is interrogated as to their immigration status, I will not have a problem with it at all.

The Arizona governor said that police will be inquiring into the immigration status of people who the police have "reasonable suspicion" of being an illegal immigrant.

When asked what an illegal immigrant looks like, she said she didn't know.

I mean, common. How is that supposed to be interpreted?

And how could a governor be so incompetent as to sign a law when she doesn't have the slightest idea how it will be executed......

Americans are perfectly content with the fact that they are descendants of immigrants, yet those here who post against illegal immigration would have preferred that the door slam shut after their ancestors got here. Seems pretty hypocritical to me.

"children of these illegals also who when born to them while on American soil. These children should not be US citizens based upon these grounds (regardless of what is stated in the Constitution until amended)"

All traitors and cowards who want to violate the constitution should be treated as such.

"You are so stupid if your brains were dynamite, you would not have enough to blow your nose."

Clever, I will tell that one to my third-grader.

"Get lost you fool"

Nah... I think I will hang around. I enjoy pointing and laughing at you.

Does everyone realize that the rate of felonious crimes among illegal immigrants is lower than that of American citizens? So while there are all of these silly scare tactics (playing to the stupidest among us) which make it appear as though illegal immigrants are unleashing massive crime waves on the whole of American society, the actual statistics show us that illegal immigration is DILUTING crime in America.
