Which Babies Should Get the Death Sentence?

"Who exactly benefits when the government permits the deliberate killing of an innocent child conceived through rape?" The mother, who didn't choose to get pregnant and doesn't want to raise a fatherless child. Duh. This is so obvious most people don't have to ask it.

My friends daughter will be grateful forever to the woman who gave her rape baby up for adoption.

No doubt that rape baby is him/herself, glad to be alive...

I've seen people on tv who support rape abortions look right through grown rape babies as if they weren't even there, and stand by their belief that the person standing before them should have been aborted.

Chilling, that kind of deliberate blindness.

I believe that that decision should be left to the Raped woman.

So if Mommy Dearest benefits it's OK for her to have her unborn child torn to pieces, chemically burned to death, or to have his skull punctured and his living brains sucked out?

Is that what you're saying?

Clearly not. I was answering the question the author asked. He did not ask if it's okay to do what you describe.

Jeremy, the mother has other options. She can put up the child for adoption. Must the child die for the sins of its father?
Jeremy128 Wrote: Aug 22, 2012 6:12 PM
True, she does, I'm just answering the author's question. He implies there are no benefits, and I think there are. People disagree on the balancing of factors, but he is being dishonest to imply there is no benefit.

There are benefits, I have a half-sister for that very reason, and she is a great person, and when I found out many years ago, it was wonderful for her and us to find out that not only did she have siblings but a new family that she hadn't previously known!

Again, the mother may die as a result of the pregnancy and birth.

Americans witnessed a remarkable drama this week when some of our most exalted politicians frantically scrambled to reassure voters that they, too, believed that the United States ought to permit the deliberate killing of at least some innocent human beings.

They apparently did so to persuade the public they are caring, compassionate and -- above all -- reasonable people.

The drama started when Rep. Todd Akin, the Republican nominee in the U.S. Senate race in Missouri, expressed his view that no innocent human being ought to be deliberately killed.

However, that was not the only thing Akin expressed....
