Why is it then when we read the Gospel accounts, we don't read of him performing abortions, performing gay marriage ceremonies or stopping at pay unto Caesar in Matthew 22? Instead he stated the opposite. His purpose of having a zealot was as a disciple was not to symbolize His political affiliations . Jesus overturned tables in His Father's house. To take that recorded event and apply it to any situation in Congress reflects who your god is... government.
The authors of the Democratic platform have inadvertently revealed to the world the sea change that has taken place in that party we once knew.
