I believe current birth practices groom parents to bow down to authority. When Mothers are threatened with legal action if they decline labor and birth drugs and/or surgery deemed to be in "the best interest of the child", this bullying can deprive parents of the natural God Given instinct to protect and defend their children from harm. Parents who give birth with autonomy set up patterns of behavior that often lead to homeschooling, keeping children close when they are preschoolers, and making more time for family. Our C section rate is fast reaching south american levels, with certain American Hospitals at seventy and eighty percent... I believe Mothers claiming sovereignty over birth will help restore Parental Authority.
