Stress does increase the risk of miscarriage: Google "stress and fertility." So 10,000 abortions are the result of rape.. 2 million are choice.. birth control .. So.. why don't you save your outrage for those who really deserve it.

OK, there may be some evidence to support what Akin said. I've heard/read such stuff in the past. But that's beside the point! He's in the climate of hardball politics and to ad lib an answer to a standard, canned question (for which he should have had a standard, canned answer) and completely blow it like he did is the real offense here. Now we all have to wonder what other screw up lurks in his apparently handicapped brain. I even agree with his stand that ALL abortions take a human life, but again, that's not the point. For the good of the country he needs to put a lid on his apparently overinflated ego and disappear!!!

It's time for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to get their arms around the Republican Members of the House and give - at least some of them - a Leroy Jethro Gibbs slap to the back of the head.

Yesterday was a day that should have featured the Obamas answering questions about the charges of crankiness, stubbornness, and general dysfunction among the White House and Chicago campaign staffs.
