You hit this nail on the head. The Republican party needs to re-embrace conservatism and stop nominating liberals if they want to win their base back. Meanwhile, the voters should at least go to the polls and vote out the incumbent. If you give these idiot politicians only one term you can shake up the system and make them walk a straight line. The voters have the power. They need to use it.
