PETA: Hunting Magazines Are Worse Than Porn, You Know

Some thoughts. I've known many hunters. None killed gamed for fun. They killed game for food. Humans are by nature carnivorous mammals. Get over it. Kids have been becoming sexually active for years without the assistance of pornography so this is a bad analogy. Many school shooters who killed their classmates were part of dysfunctional families, had substance abuse problems and were never educated in the proper use and handling of firearms.

those "canned hunts" disgust me.
it's hunting an animal trained to be accustomed to human presence; sitting ducks, fish in a barrel, etc.

Very true. If you are going to hunt then hunt. Still I've never known anyone to do a canned hunt for thrill or violence. They do it for food. Truthfully it is about the equivalent of killing a farm raised animal.

Jeffar: I never killed for fun but I’ve killed many farm raised animals. A few times, I’ve killed to remove a pest or what I hope was mercy. But the point is, it was for food. I think reconciling yourself to that aspect actually brings you closer to harmony with nature.

PETA has been causing trouble for years, but in recent days we've seen them target children by comparing turkeys to the family dog, we've seen them beg President Obama to not pardon the turkey at the White House and now, they're trying to make the argument that hunting magazines are worse than porn.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is encouraging national retailer Hudson News to put hunting magazines where children can’t see them -- because, “Like other forms of casual or thrill violence, hunting spawns a dangerous desensitization to the suffering of others.”
