He couldn't get elected today by the Republicans. 68 percent of registered Republicans didn't vote in 2008 and 2012. That is how Obama got into office. The Republican voters are tired of their party nominating liberals like McCain and Romney. The Republican party needs to drift back to the right and start appealing to the conservatives if they ever expect to win again. Reagan could get elected as a Democrat. Reagan gave illegal aliens amnesty. The Democrats would love him.
