Like many who have commented, I disagree with Charles on this one. In reality we have two parties that have become socialist/progressive. Throwing one party out for the other party is like climbing a flight of stairs where each step leads us closer to full socialization or communism and tyranny. They are birds of a feather. If we, the people, don't care to limit our government, it will enslave us. Our founders weren't just 18th century thinkers, they were students of human nature and the nature of governments. It is tyranny they tried to protect us from. We seem to be charging forward for it. Government takeover of anything is a bad idea.

You imply that health care reform will not kill private insurance, etc. How could you know? Are you writing the bill therefore you are the only person who has read it? Or are you a prophet who can foresee every unintended consequence of this bill?

Every, EVERY, time government does something that the private sector should do, the government doesn't do a better job. It is impossible for it to.

Unfortunately, too many buy into the concept that government action is good. Government doing its job of protecting our borders and limiting punitive and frivolous law suits does make sense. Running health care does not.

So, the responsibility and opportunity falls back to we the people. The election of 2010 must be a counter to the 2008 socialist revolution.

Government power is dangerous if not checked; hence the beauty, brilliance and blessing of our constitution.

If we prepare properly, we don't need to be afraid. Be ready, and share.

The more government employees we have, and the more people receiving government assistance, the more corrupt our voting populace.

Another large group to join this corrupted voting group will be illegal aliens who receive amnesty.

This isn't just a partisan concern. This is a serious problem facing the future of our country. People tend to be less principled and more focused on their own pocket if they can vote for favors. That isn't better for our nation's future.
